Nice shot Ash, B&W always works for me for portraits. Are the all-important catch-lights in the eyes "natural" or did you use a touch of fill-in flash? Must admit it doesn't look like you did from the rest of the shot.

I sometimes find that a flash on low power pointing vertically with a stofen omni-bounce fitted can make all the difference in outdoor portraits - not overpowering, just enough to add that sparkle to the eyes, especially when shooting in the shade.
