Just thought I'd 'dive in first' from the Guernsey peeps with a shot or two from the Viaer Marchi event here on Monday evening ....

Ah the Viaer Marchi always a good show of "old Guernsey" looks like you captured it well, is that you (second chap in on the left in the bottom picture) hee hee, oh no it cant be you were taking the picture

That was just a small arena, which had several hundred people lining it.
It's a every popular event, and probably a couple of thousand people go to it very year.
Not bad for a small island. There were lots of small tents around the outside
of the field selling seafood, butter, honey, crepes (french side coming out !!),
, weaving, bonnets (sounds bonn-ays), books, carriage rides plus loads of other stuff,
and mustn't forget the Rocquette Cider ...... 14.5% ..... reeeeel cidddeeerrr ....
