Is this a recent pic? I do like it and feel it would not be out of place galleried in a war museum of the 30's/40's.

Impressive photo Pol. Exposure, the position of the hands together with the cement is spot on.

At first I thought the hands were old hands, but are they just workworn? I actually think they are old and worn. Good detail in the top.

          Re: Path repairs

Thanks for your comments everyone, comments that have had us creased up with laughing here actually because it was me who had caused the edge of the patio to finally break off .... don't even ask.

The photo was taken just last week and those are my husband's hands - cold, dirty and wet as he tried to get the emergency repair done before it started pelting down with rain and hail again.

I couldn't do anything to help so I thought I may take the opportunity to take a couple of shots.

            Re: Path repairs

I'm going to keep my mouth shut in future.

I thought that they were Highway's Department Repairs and I thought that the workman's hands looked quite old to be doing a job like that. I hope David is retired!

(Not sure but I think I'm digging my self a big hole!)
