Re: Thank Goodness
You're so good at this, Pops. My attempts at getting the birds interested in our garden has been a flop and the food on the feeders just goes off
But a bit of good news - I think a pair of robins are nesting in a neighbour's ivy on our adjoining fence.
Whether I can get any pix, let alone ones like yours, is a moot point though.
Ian
PS There is a bit of a halo around the blackbird - obviously had his readybrek that morning

Re: Thank Goodness
If you know they are in the ivy, and you have the time, you could set up the camera close by and use a lengthy shutter release.Originally posted by Ian View PostYou're so good at this, Pops. Re: Thank Goodness
Thanks Bob. I have had this sharpening comment before. My prob is I am very wary of overdoing it particularly with birds. A touch to much and it looks so obvious and the feather resemble starnds of wireOriginally posted by bigbob View PostNo critique needed here , one of the best robin shots i've seen in ages , good D.O.F . maybe , just maybe it needs a touch more sharpening , but thats nitpicking .

Re: Thank Goodness
These are great photos. Not my type of thing but then I know a man who does and all the hard work that goes into them.

Re: Thank Goodness
And what a studio you have. Keep up the great work we all like to see it. My back garden is a bird free zone. I have two cats of which one is quite the little hunter birds, mice and even the odd baby rabbit have come in the cat flap with him. Only tonight we had to catch a mouse that he came in with.Originally posted by Pops View PostI like taking pics peter but unfortunately can't get about much so ... the garden is my studio
