  • Kaydi@1 year

It is Kaydi's birthday today, she is my great niece, I have a pic of her at 1 week old in my gallery, Ive decided to keep a photo diary of her progression through life and hopefully one day the images will be displayed in an exhibition. I can dream can't I?
As you can see she was very photogenic, so all I had to do was press the button.
Feel free to critique on how the image could be improved, but really I just wanted to show you kaydi 1 year on.

Aww Ash that's so cute! She's so sweet and clearly a very willing little poser. I reckon you're gonna be having a lot of fun and photo opportunities with her down the years.

There's a definite family resemblance there too. Cheerful and cheeky, bright eyes and big grin.

Pol covered all the personal compliments.
The only thing I see is the right side being shadowed a bit.....hey who cares with when the eyes dominate the shot. Sounds like you have set yourself a fun long term project and I hope it goes well.

Thanks pol and pops, Im a sucker for b&w and convert nearly all my shots just to see what they look like. I did vignette the raw file rather alot maybe too much, but i do so love capturing people shots in low natural lighting, I have alot to learn and hopefully my shots will get better.
        cheers
        Ash.

Absolutely lovely - beautiful eyes and cheeky grin.

Good luck with the 'through the ages' bit - by the time bumbly number 2 had got to the age of about 10 there was a lot of face pulling or, "oh I didn't know, I was just flicking a v at my sister" or whatever...! The early teens were terrible, which is why around that time I switched to candids!
