  • Yeliou Geopark, Taiwan

This was an absolutely fascinating place. I would love to have spent longer taking photos from all angles, but we had a time limit.

Hi Audrey, welcome back! Hope you enjoyed the trip.
Incidentally, I googled to find the place Yeliou Geopark - do you mean Yeliou in Taiwan?
also looking forward to another pic from Vietnam.

        Hi Yoshi

Thanks for noticing that. You are right and I have edited the title.

We could have spent half a day in Yeliou, the rocks were so magnificent.

Also thanks for all your information on Naha in Okinawaw, unfortunately, we sailed there but never went into Naha, as the Port was closed due to high winds, so we had to turn around and make our way to Taiwan. Fortunately, the ship was well stabilised.

As a complimentary shuttle bus was running into Naha, we had decided to take that and then a taxi to Shurijo Castle as it was much, much cheaper than going on the ship's excursion, but as I say, it never happened.

I'm sorting through my pics, but don't have a lot of outstanding ones as the weather was often misty.

Oh wow! Is that for real? Were they formed by water erosion Audrey? They are quite amazing 'fungi' looking structures!

I hadn't seen that you had posted a leaflet with explanations until after my post! It sure does explain a number of erosive factors! Quite fascinating! Thanx for sharing!

Yes, it was an amazing sight. It looks as though I should have boosted my saturation to get it like the leaflet.
