  • Abstract

Looking through my archives, I came across this pic I'd taken with my first digital camera quite some time back & worked on in photoshop with filters! Camera was only 3 megapixels! It originally was a flower of the arum species I think!

It had inspired a painting subject for me!

        Re: Abstract

From the sublime to the tiny.... I have to scroll all over the place with the original...

I like the abstract, beautiful jewel-like colours and it looks like it's based on a type of flower (tho it's too late for me to think of the type)

Yes it looks like an arum, but its the flower of a type of monstera deliciosa!

Clearly the original you posted has been enhanced by some sort of star effect in photoshop or the like, nice colours, but I dont quite see the point!

              Re: Abstract

Ash it is obviously clear & stated that I had used filters etc on the photo to make it abstract.....the point & purpose being just that......to make an abstract from a mundane object! The other purpose for the exercise as indicated was to inspire some type of artwork subject, which it did! Here is one of the original photos as well as a B&W version! I enjoy trying out a number of versions on a theme! (which is another point) Thanks for your comment Ash, hope it now makes a little more sense!
