Just discovered some new web templates in Lightroom that came with the latest upgrade. Had to have a play with a small folder of shots taken on a little Lumix FX01 just before Christmas on a visit to Castle Howard. The photos are nothing great, but it was fun to try and get something half decent with it when there are very few in the way of controls. Anyway I thought this template was pretty cool

That's fun and it also looks very good. If you were using it for serious stuff, you'd probably need to leave a little more space at the top of the page because part of the top thumbnails are cropped on my screen. I like the presentation though. It's fun watching to see how many more thumbnails are gonna pop up when the page is loading.
And just for the record - I also enjoyed the pictures.

Looking back and seeing the wink now it seems obvious.....

Yep. I thought to myself Stephen had certainly gone up in the world wiv a "reception area" like that.
Almost, but not quite, as posh as the 'cloakroom' at Tim's place where you can wait your turn in comfort and style on his "assistant's chair".

Love the postcard views by the way!
Haha, you know I was really surprised no one picked up on that at the time. Just my sense of humour I'm afraid.
Whist I do work from home, its nothing as grand as you saw in the picture

Thanks Pol, glad you liked them.
Actually, on my screen there is loads of space above the thumbnails, though I daresay my screen res is considerably higher than yours. I recently upgraded my BB and am now running at around 11500mbps, the thumbnails fly onto the page, and all 17 can be seen with space spare

The page loaded pretty quickly, even though I only have a 512 connection. I looked at it on the PC at 1024 x 768 and most of it shows. there's just a couple of clipped areas top and bottom. I'll take a screenshot and mail it to you.
I haven't looked at it on the lappy so I dunno how it looks on there.
I love the way the thumbnails fly onto the screen though. Very nifty.
I know I can trust you not to mention this to anyone else but ......

Pol
Oh, My deepest apologies to you for the link. although i did not know that.
I first thought you were kidding me.
I was then embarrassed to know it but you must have been much more embarrased than I did, I'm afraid. upset? I did not mean anything like that in my last post there.
But how could it happen, I sometimes wonder. There are I guess 6 billions or so people in the world and I was talking with that person for years until I know that. I myself remember a part of the ad, i confess.
The film replay now more than doubled since I first visited there. :b

I thought the same Ben. You can't trust these Yorkshiremen, they are full of bluff!

The 'little Lumix FX01' didn't do to bad did it, glad to see that you also use the same kit as us newbies on some occasions Stephen. I loved the pics but the thumbnails don't all show up on my screen. The topmost ones are missing except for their lower borders!

Thanks for the feedback, at least I know that it isn't suitable for everyones screen, not sure if any adjustment is possible, but I'll take a look.

I'd have thought it would probably be possible to contain the index page into a 100% table. That should mean than the page should adjust itelf to fit any screen resolution as you'd set the table to display at 100%.
