Here is a tractor i found some years ago in woods close to where i use to live. The first was taken in about 1986-7 the other two taken this Sunday when i went back to see if it was still there. To my surprise it was almost as it was 20 years ago, the woods have done a good job of looking after it.
How incredible that this piece of machinery should be still be so intact after 20 odd years in this woodland. Back then it must have been deemed pretty much defunct if such a work horse was abandoned; I amazed that in this present day someone hasn't tried to resurrect it to a former working glory - that is unless it was well and truly buried within the realms of the faerie folkies! (in which case, what were you doing there........?!)

The processing is certainly makes it look very 'dead' after so long exposed to the elements. Rather like an old and faded picture or postcard that's been left in the window of a deserted shop and been bleached and lost its colour in the sun. Sad really as it clings to those last fragments of former strength and dignity.
I can't say I like the coloured images as much as the b/w version - but they certainly evoke more feelings of all that goes with ageing and the passage of time. ( A bit like me I s'pose)
