It is a beautiful vista - gives a fine sense of the river's power and presence.

It does look like the day wasn't ideal, with haziness and the foreground in shadow. Certainly a view worth revisiting on a nicer day

great potential in this view. Out of interest where will the sun rise and set in relation to this picture?

Also I have taken the liberty of having a play in PS. Hope you don't mind.

      Best Regards

That is a lovely view - both versions. Shame the light wasn't just a little better.

Only been to Fowey once.... thought I'd die walking back up the hill out of the town (particularly as I was full of mussels)

Another good reason to have quit the evil weed

Fowey is a beautiful place. The wife and I went to the Eden Project last month and the following day we took a drive to see a couple of the nearby coastal towns, one was Megavissey and the other was Fowey. There is a road that leads to the long stay car park overlooking Fowey, unfortunately you are not supposed to stop along there, but being a visitor in a hire car I thought I would take the risk. I got the camera out and clicked away hand held to try a panorama (which I later stitched together in a program called Pixtra), then lo and behold this old chappie shouts out "You can park here ya know", I went over to say hello, apparently the no parking is only during the summer months, so we got chatting, he knew the landlady of the B & B we were staying at, he knew the guy who hired me the car, then when I told him I was from Guernsey, he told me he used to work on the island before he retired, isnt it a small world (sometimes). Sadly I never got his name.
Here is the panorama overlooking Fowey, I know it is not perfect, hence in this forum

Caz, just do it, it's easy!

            Self-righteous ex smoker (80 a day non-tipped!). Gave up over-night and now 24 years weed-free! (and grass free ahhh..the 70's)

No patches, no hypnotherapy - just willpower. The secret is simple - you've just got to want to do it.

Did it make me healthier - probably, although I put on 6 stone within 5 years and ended up with high blood pressure and diabetes

Mmmmm, am I giving mixed messages here.... and someone's now going to say that losing weight is easy - you've just got to want to do it
