David Bailey on the wrong side of the lens at a press event in London earlier today.

PS I'm impressed this has turned out as well as it has at ISO 800.

I don't care whether or not there's any noise, or owt else about the settings for that matter.

The picture, the pose, the elegant attire (especially the 'rotated' hat) and the twinkle in the eye are great!

      Nice capture Ian.
I like the inclusion of the photographers hand, it kind of adds something to it.

Are you able to tell us what this was all about, as his hat could have done with straightening, and he doesnt look all that smartly dressed!

Hi Ben, This was a press event to introduce the new Olympus E-3 DSLR. Bailey is a long-time Olympus user and is retained to promote the brand, hence his presence yesterday

He always looks scruffy; it's almost his trade mark these days

A lovable scruff - he was in good spirits yesterday and was more than happy to accommmodate the many requests for poses. Contrasts completely with his expression.

I'll bet the scruffy clothes are all designer labels costing a bomb
