  • A short, but hectic, action sequence!

Probably the four worst pictures that I have ever taken, but so full of action. The background - a winter morning, camera set up for landscape work, 1/20 at f10, and a rabbit jumped into the path just in front of my Border Terrier. I actually did rescue the rabbit, difficult to see in the pictures, which was surprisingly unhurt!

    Total time 13 seconds.

    The chase!

    The (almost) kill!

I dunno who I feel more sorry for - the rabbit, the dogs or you!

An amazing sequence though and it's great you were able to rescue an unhurt rabbit. I hope it was grateful little Bunny Wabbit, even if a tad shocked and embarrassed.

Nice one Rog, the drama and speed of the event is conveyed well enough without having the technicalities correct

I find these pictures very interesting because they break the usual rules (sharpness, careful composition, etc.) and so become something different and rather fresh - almost an inbetween state - not quite still photography and not quite motion video. There is an immediacy and impact that comes through very strongly. The one with the dogs really blurred has turned them into little whirlwinds, full of energy and purpose.

Rog, I'm pleased that you have shared these with us!
