I learnt to drive in a Triumph Spitfire in the early 70's. Magnificent cars! It was a bit darker, British Racing Green, which we spit 'n polished & compounded to a mirror sheen every weekend! Often having its weber carbs tuned, to hummmm & purr, the Walnut woodwork gleaming, leather bucket seats & the soft top taken right off, [it only had a front windshield/windscreen] pushing in excess of a ton [as we called it in speed/mph], down the highways! Exhilarating stuff! Aaahh, those were the days!Jocelyn
