I thought so too - though the juvenile plumage remaining on the head is quite pale and ending abruptly on this little fella.

He's a sweetie.

It is a Starling and it's unusual appearence is still up for debate and clarification.
Up to now I have.....
Lack of pigment but the cause is yet unknown.
A dietry problem
A quirk of birth

I can't find any reference on it's appearence in any of my books. Will be delving into the www tonight in the hope of finding some info.
