Wedding venue recce

Went to have a look at my brother's wedding venue today to prepare for next weekend.

If the weather's good then it will take place outside on the terrace which will be fine because the grounds and buildings are pretty good. The autumnal colours will also match my brother's ginger hair




Bit worried about the nice clean unfussy backgrounds if we have to shoot inside though




Had a look for some steps to stick the main group on and these will do nicely (might need some step ladders though)




Although, for a bigger group you could use these (all joking aside, the wedding planner said they have a wedding coming up soon with 450 guests so I reckon these steps will be the only way the tog will get a group shot!)

Isn't it just!

I'm really looking forward to seeing one or two of the wedding shots from in there.

Looks like a great place to hold a function. I like the last pic particularly. Did you edit it at all becuase there seems to be a bit of bother with the sky.

Yeah, I noticed that this morning. In my defence, it had been a long weekend, too much wine had flowed and I'm without my usual RAW converter so I bodged that one a bit. Actually all of them got less attention than I would normally give - I'd better make sure I put a bit more effort in next weekend!

Thanks for sharing your recce Stuart, I'm sure you'll do them proud next weekend - fingers and toes crossed for decent weather. Look forward to seeing a few shots from "the big day" in due course
