Colour by far. The other one looks like a war time recognizance photo. To young to remember them.

I don't think I have any strong feelings one way or the other Ben. The duotone one has more contrast and seems to cut through the haze more, however this can easily be achieved with the colour version.

          Re: Colour, or Duotone?

Colour for me everytime from the air.

I do a lot of flying in small planes, got a few good pictures too along the way. Got one that almost looks black and white because of the bad weather to our right, if I can find the pic I will post it.

The b&w pic above makes the woods at the bottom just appear black to me. No detail at all.

Love the picture (colour) though, where did you take it and what were you in?

Colour for me without any doubt.
The duotone treatment makes it lean towards being an abstract

Difficult choice here because colour is what normally attracts the eye, but here the duotone seems to 'pop' more!

Its so interesting to see what people prefer in this thread.

Stephen, I cant beleive your sitting on the fence!

Ekkl, this was taken over Berkshire, in a single prop jobbie. I think it was a Piper? I will check, and can post a shot of the plane if your interested?

Lumix, maybe I will add some grain, and turn it sepia, and make a feature of it.

thanks for all the comments again.

when I looked I chose immediatley colour.
read other comments and went back and looked
                    but still coloured.
