Jersey Airshow

First of all the guys who take these sort of photos all the time have my full respect. Most of my photos came out as little dots in the sky. These were taken at the airport before we went down to the sea front for the display. The reason we went over to Jersey (that other Island is because they have a bigger display then we do over here.





After that it was back to taking photos of something hopfully that I know about doing. These are taken at a slower shutter speed then I would normaly use. I was hoping to get better panning shots. The first was taken at 1/60 the second at 1/50 all hand held with the sigma 100-300.

Hey - looks like you had a fund day out, Peter .

The weather was great yesterday; though I was inside most of the day at a big (and very nice) family gathering, though I did look longingly through the windows at the lovely temperate sunshine!

Mind you, I was standing two feet away !!

Yes it was a great day out. Four of us went as you can see Jem was one of them and my two brothers went as well. The air show over here would last about one and a half hours top. The one in Jersey as I said before went on for four hours. They have more planes as well as the Falcons parachute display team. The worst thing was that as the afternoon went on we were facing more into the sun not the best way to take photos I know .

Just had a look at your site Jem and see what you mean .

Same thing here Ian I also had to go out today for lunch so no live f1 or moto gp for me. I only just finished watching it all about an hour ago was worth the wait.
