Love this pic & particularly the comment. It's a pity you could not have captured the birds full reflection or at least it's head! Having said that, this doesn't
detract from the photo!
I looked at my reflection and thought I was absolutely gorgeous.
I had a drink, looked again and realised I'm just a drippy little tit.

You sure have a way with words and with a camera. I like to see shots like this where there is still enough clarity to set the bird in its surroundings without distracting from the main subject. Nicely done as always Pol.
I agree with Jocelyn that it would have been better if the bird's head had been seen in the reflection but it was pure luck I got any of the bird at all and so the reflection, any sort of refection, was just a bonus.
I still wish the entire bird reflection had been included though.
Ron - I'd been having another attempt to capture a small bird with extended wings (taking off or landing). I had no luck with the wings during that session but just happened to spot the little Bluetit land on the birdbath to drink - so I quickly lowered the camera and managed to snatch a couple of shots before it flew away.
I couldn't see the surface of the water as the birdbath is in deep shade amongst trees and shrubs - so the reflection was pure luck, also the reason I kept the shot.

Hi Pol - did you use flash for this one? It has that flash feel about it
The reflection really makes this picture - well done!

Very much flashed for this one! Flashgun at full power with an extender attached. There'd have been no chance of getting anything worthwhile otherwise, as the birdbath was under dense foliage (which I've cut back a little more now).
I'd been having another go at trying to 'freeze a wing' but wasn't having any luck. I was handholding at the time, noticed the Blue tit go for a drink so was lucky to grab a couple of shots.
I was approx 18ft away using f/16 at 300mm. The flash extender made it possible to pick out the little bird. I lifted the background slightly with my special top secret shadow/highlight method otherwise it would have been a tad too black.
