  • Cygnets

These are Australian Black swan Cygnets. It's a pity the water was a bit brown, but they were so sweet. There was a huge eel under them at times, trying to nip their feet poor things & mum was hissing & pecking at eel to scare it off!

I am amazed that you managed to set them up almost symetricaly
I like the nice tight crop, maybe a little dark aroung the front one eye but no less a very nice post

      Hi Jocelyn,
A lovely and cute image, well worth taking, the darkness (shadows) can be lifted useing your image software, and the image is worth doing. EELS, nice cooked, especially jellied.

Actually Tinka, I prefer my eels smoked...the Dutch way & herrings raw with raw onion on fresh bread! Jokes aside...thanks for the comments. The original pic had a pinkish colour cast, so to try & eliminate that, I think I darkened the image with software a tad too much it seems! There were actually 5 cygnets, but these 2 seemed almost joined at the hip, as it were! They did everything in perfect unison!
