Went down to the loch yesterday afternoon and spent an half hour or so looking at the ...errrrmmmm boats

I like the red boat.....very striking. The canal looks quite full have you had a lot of rain there?

i really enjoy looking at that shot, i wonder why canal loch,s & boats fascinate me, had a motor launch out on the Medway for a week years ago, happy memories, still have a photo of the SAN DIANA,,,,john

Good heavens Mike....I only just noticed her .

Actually she was just closing the gate after coming through from one of the boats. We chatted for a couple of minutes and off she went.
We have had lots of rain but nothing to compare with other areas. The loch gates keep the basin levels under control.

All of the boats look lovely and clean with lots of new paintwork around.
There is of course always the one exception and this stuck out like a sore thumb.

Thanks Tinka. The sun tried really hard that afternoon and I managed to get a few decent shots.
