  • Feeding time

We've had our eye on these little critters for weeks now and, since it wasn't raining at the time, I decided to try and catch feeding time. I've actually got 2 nests on the house, but the other one is right up under the gable so am having difficulty getting a clear shot.

Out of the many shots I took until my arms and neck were knackered, these three are the best:

And at last I finally managed to get the actual feeding - not as clear as I'd like, but it started to rain again!

What you need is a very tall tripod and a long shutter release cable.

Poor quality or not .... I love em

There are actually 3 chicks in this nest, although I couldn't catch them all popping up at the same time!

Never mind a very tall tripod/cable release pops... it'd have to be able to take pictures round corners as well

I thought they were pretty close to fledging, but they were still there this morning. I also saw the local hare, but since I hadn't been expecting it, camera was still in my handbag - somewhat difficult to take photos at 40mph on a bendy road!
