  • A couple more from yesterday

Here's a couple more taken with the Sony Alpha A100 from yesterday.

This was a posed shot with my daughters on the other side of a very humped canal bridge down in Apsley. The building in the background is where I used to work back in the late 1980s after being relocated from central London.

And here is one of our two moggies, Jemima, in the back garden. I'm quite pleased with this as getting texture in her dark fur without blowing all the surroundings is not easy:

Unusual shot of the girls, but the picture of Jemima really stands out for me - a lovely crisp image.

And we're back to the eyes again, a really piercing gaze

a couple of crackers there Ian.

Well done on Jemima, I know only too well how difficult it is to get a good shot of a black cat!

Unusual shot of the girls but good thinking. Jemima is a cracker and I like the diagonal composition. Those eyes are really staring at the viewer. If I look to long they seem quite scary.

Scary? - no way! Jemima is actually my fave of our two - she has a lovely temperament - and is very playful and at ease with life, though she doesn't like sitting on laps. She isn't a greedy so and so like her tortoiseshell sister, either.
