  • New Man - just for Goatsmilk

I was looking for a photo in an album this morning and found this one taken in 1995.

My daughter-in-law must have taken it portraying our son as a New Man changing nappies.

I'd forgotten about it but it really made me laugh and I thought of Goatsmilk and wondered how he was coping.

hehehehe - that takes me back a long time to when my kids were small... for someone who promised to be a 'new man' it was amazing how often he disappeared at the appropriate moment - especially after he put a nappy on crooked once (these were the old terry ones) and it leaked........

    Poor soul.....

      Oh thats brilliant!

I take it your son is a fireman Audrey? The breathing apparatus kit takes me back to when I was a member of the fire and rescue team....great days!

This makes me rather nervous, I have been up since 3am as the missus went into the early stages of labour........just waiting for things to happen before venturing to the hospital! So this time tomorrow that could be me!

You'll be fine, Ben. The staff will be looking after you all and doing all they can to help everything go smoothly.

Looking forward to hearing the news and seeing the pictures at some point in the future.

            We'll be thinking of you.

Sorry for the delay in replying - I have been off line for 8 days (changing providers)!

Glad you liked the pic and actually my son is a H & S Trainer in the construction industry which included breathing apparatus for going underground etc.

Great pic! Made me smile. All is going well this end and mostly to plan. I do have far less time to log on, but have been taking some pics and will post some very soon.
A few things have changed I sold my MX5 and bought a Focus estate (how Dad is that), can't remember the last time we had a good nights sleep, although it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I have got used to eating my food cold, as Sam decides he needs something just as our food is cooked.
Shopping is like going camping with all the bags we carry.
I have had people visit who I have not seen for years.
I have also found I can do lots of things one handed whilst holding a baby with the other.

GOOD LUCK BEN, it's all very worth it, even at daft o'clock when you half asleep working the steriliser and burning your fingers.

Good to hear from you Stu - all this baby talk brings back some fading memories - even if it wasn' that long ago; 11 and 9 years, respectively.

This morning our eldest celebrated her last day in primary school - quite an emotional morning; the year 6 kids put on a play pretending to be themselves in 60 years time - quite funny and thought-provoking at the same time. You and Ben have all this to look forward to
