  • Bungeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!!!

This was taken at the home of bungee jumping - the old Kawarau River bridge situated between Cromwell and Queenstown in Central Otago, New Zealand. Dianne & I spent a fair bit of time capturing the paticipants - who were prepared to pay up to $200 (NZ) for the experience. I found the best way to capture the jump was to wait till the subject bounced once and was going down for the second time - which is what this shot shows and explains the rope being relaxed.

    Re: Bungeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I love participating in kind of 'risky' sports - skiiing, scuba diving, karting and I love flying (not yet behind the controls, sadly) but you wouldn't catch me bungee jumping, nor parachuting!

    Good capture, though -

Hi Trev, my son visited NZ during his 'Gap Year' and did the exact same bungee jump. Have to say he went up in my estimation

Would love to photograph it though like you have done

I'm not sure I could even watch from that angle but I'm glad you did and took a shot to share!

Our eldest son goes skydiving and I suspect he still goes gliding but I never want to hear about it so he only tells me when the jump was cancelled because of adverse weather.

Life can be difficult being the mother of 3 adult sons.
