Hi Phillip,
Great image I like the light as it is this that takes the image out of the ordinary. The light and the contrast between the smooth water, the boat and the old wreck of a pier? brings the image alive.

This is a nice enough picture as is, but do feel there was potential for an even better image in this location. I would have preferred the image in portrait mode and included all of the mast and reflection in water. This would have made the boat less in your face and shown the boat to be more lonely as per your title. The boarder is very nice but I don't think it quite suites this particular image.
