I took this photo on the way down from veiwing sunrise on Haleakala Crater. I loved these huge jacaranda trees and the road winding through the green meadows. This place is absolutely beautiful. I PP this image to enhance the colors and appear to make the scene "slightly dreamy". I love the curve of the road and the wide angle lense I used made this more appearent.
Nice one Phillip, it was the curve of the road that attracted me to the picture, it leads the eye through the scene. Where is this area, have you any more ?
An attractive and dreamy image, I like the way the light almost maches the color of the central lines which together with the curve of the road draw you through the image and leave you wondering where it leads. Different and attractive.
Thanks for the kind words. Stephen this was taken on the road up to the summit of Haleakala National Park in an area called "upcountry" on Maui. I'll post a few more from Hawaii in the gallery for review.
I do like the image but I would not have guess those were Jacaranda trees - your editing has done something to them which makes them difficult to identify. Those trees are something special so its a bit of a pity their detail has been sacrificed here but despite this its a gorgeous picture.

Thanks everyone for looking. The trees unfortunately, didn't have leaves yet just the purple flowers on the tip of the branches. but as you know "you's takes what you's get's" while traveling. In larger prints these can be seen nicely. I typically print at 13 x 19 when for sale my studio.
