I came across this, what I assume is a variety of lichen, whilst in Alaska. It kinda begged for a photo and I'm quite pleased with the result.

A great shot and the white, so clean and sharp, I believe it is a type/variety of "air plant" You can buy some types in garden centers glued to fancy bits of wood etc: never had much success with them myself, but yours certainly looks happy in its natural habitat.Catch Ya Later

where did you come accross this, if it was the UK I very much doubt its an Air Plant.
Definately looks like some kind of Lichen. Its difficult to tell size with the photograph as well.Comment
