  • Me & my Wife Shooting

Went on a short 3-day vacation trip last weekend to the old town of Monemvasia built around the 6th Century.
It was also my wife's first attempt to photography and I can say that she did unexpectedly well. Maybe it was the beginner's luck

So here is what she was shooting with the tiny compact Nikon Coolpix 7900 and what I was doing at the same time with the full 12X zoom as a RIB owner myself

    My wife's shot

    My shot addiction to RIBs

      Hi George,
Two first class images in my opinion, Your good lady's picture puts the scene in context with your surroundings, your image is a superb water sport/sea scape image which, in isolation could be anywhere, you do now have some up and comeing competition now, congratulations to your wife.

Two different photographs of the same scene, they compliment each other. I like the scene which your wife has captured, all in focus from the cactus on the ledge to the pantiles on the roofs. Makes me think I would like to be there.

          1 peaceful brochure shot
          1 action shot
          Both well captured.

Both interesting images George complementing one another. It is good when both partners are sufficiently interested in photography to take pictures when you go out. It prevents having to play catch-up all the time.

I think you have the wrong name on the first pic. It should be "Mrs Archangel".

                Thanks Dave,

Indeed she is learning, I would say quite fast, though she doesn't look addicted to that sport yet.

Personally I would prefer to be inside these RIBs, or be in my own RIB and not to hold a camera at the time being

Actually what you wrote at last is true, as my wife was calling herself Mrs. Archangel in the whole trip for the fun of it.
It is also true that while I was photographing something she was photographic something else and a couple of times that I was absorbed in a composing a shot she photographed things (mostly street shots) that I missed since my attention was drawn somewhere else.
