I hope you use a good library, Pops.
That's an excellent Bluetit, and the Plum Blossom would easily find a place in the RHS "Garden" mag.
    Both great pics.

Please will you give me some pointers on the bird photography?
I have been feeding them all winter, but how do you get them to pose on the fruit tree branch in front of the camera like that?

I was going to put a couple of flower pics up, but you've put mine to shame!

Pops when I put that plum blossom shot into PS and applied a little USM it just popped. Don't think you have many problems there

Thanks for your comments Jim. In fact I don't use a library and have never considered placing my photographs in one. Whenever I explore them online I just get confused as to what is for the best and never get around to it.

I feel a bit humbled by your asking me for tips but I'll try.
Careful siting of feed stations was a prime consideration. My main feed station is located underneath a nieghbours plum tree and around 8 feet from my shed doorway. I have other feeders located at various points all of which I can focus on from the shed doorway. The birds have got well used to seeing me there and now totally ignore me. I spend a lot of time just observing their movements and have found several patterns which, in many cases, allow me to predict where they are going to settle next. (this doesn't always pay off of course because the smaller birds can be a bit skittish).
        In a nutshell it's down to ....
        siting the feeder stations
observation and, to some extent, anticipation.

Never be afraid of posting pics in here Jim. Most of what I learnt was from forums. I met Stephen and Pol in another forum and they both contributed lots of tips/advice which helped me to improve over the past 2/3 years or so.
