I had to go to Turkey for a few days on a business trip, fortunately we were treated to a trip down the river in the evening, so it wasnt all bad, you can see the slight redness of the start of the super sunset we witnessed in the second one.
They look very familiar to Greeks
What I have observed from all the photos I've seen so far from Istanbul (Constantinpole in Greek as it used to be Greek city until 1453) is that all they have intense contrast and late afternoon colors.
I've seen that in all photos from any photographer. Unless, by some strange coincidence, so far it happened to me to see only late afternoon photos from that city.
