GoPro Hero8

I convinced my wife I needed a new GoPro (I left my Hero Session 5 in Africa) and happily she agreed. The new Hero8 arrived a couple of days ago. When shooting video, the image stabilization is amazing. It's easy to switch back and forth from video to photo so I put it to the test on a short stretch of the Appalachian Trail in Vermont.

Stunning quality. I have considered buying a GoPro for a long time.

I can see the benefits of having one.

I've been playing with different mounts (more for video than stills) and came up with a different perspective starting at the 0:23 mark of this short video. See if you can figure out how the GoPro Hero3+ is mounted.

Clever ! I guess you have some type of rotating mount fitted to the top of your crash helmet ?

( At first I thought some one was operating a drone. )

The clarity of the camera is superb, as is your talent for riding a unicycle.

You guessed it. Here's the view from my car's dashcam.

I got the mount to use for snowboarding this winter.

Not sure what I was expecting. But that's a lot larger than I was expecting.

Could you feel the rotations, through the crash helmet ?

Did the rotations cause any balance problems ?

No. I added eight to the opposite end to keep it balanced.
