    Foliage in New England

    We're almost at the peak of the foliage season in New England.

    A very low cloud bank on Okemo Mountain makes the colors on the trees pop.



    A little north near Killington, VT

    If you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much room.

    The colours do really pop !
    Very modern structures. Skiing resort ?

    I'd like the little chalet in the woods in the second.

      Very nice colour indeed. I like the house tucked into the trees in the second.

      What are those in the first picture. At first glance I thought it was some kind of futuristc train, on second look they could be ultra modern tree houses.

            Rodbender is indeed correct. Those are side-by-side chairlifts at Okemo Mountain in Vermont. I live 3/10 of a mile from the entrance road and during the winter I run a race course for the public just to the right of the chairlift on the right.

                  We're at peak foliage right now. This has been one of the best seasons in years. I put together a short video of shots from the past few days.

                    Enjoyed that ! But then, I knew I would.
                    Spectacular colours there.
                    Nice reflection in the lake.
                    Didn't realize it was so populated there, looking at the overhead shot.
