I was going through some pictures today as I was thinking of making a short video for the family to look at during the coming Christmas period. Our daughter got married in Mexico and looking back at a number of pix I stumbled across this one and will add a few more later.

We visited the Mayan ruins during our time there - well worth it. I have to say I needed to drink water, lots, it was a very hot day.

A good number of these roamed the grounds of the hotel including snakes, a goodly number of birds and insects.

I like the style of this Temple, Barr1e.

I had to do some reading to find who was there first. Mayan ? Aztec ? Or Inca ?


Turns out the Mayans were there first.

He's a proud looking beasty !

Seen lots of them, at a local rescue centre near here.

People get them as pets and then don't want them. Fortunately the rescue centre gets them back to health and keeps them there.
