One of them returns

We (Anne and I) have not seen a kingfisher on our walks during the winter months and felt we had lost them. Anne spotted one in the distance today as seen below. We now look forward to seeing numbers grow as the seasons progress. Close to home we watched a Comma butterfly settle on nettle just inches from the water of the canal.

Funny birds, Kingfishers. They seem to disappear for some time. Then reappear and can be seen all the time.

Good to see these, and the Comma butterfly.
