  • Leaderfoot Aqueduct

On our way home from Scotland we often drive past this Aqueduct but usually the weather is not good, sun is in wrong place or we are in too much of a hurry to get home (it's a long drive)

But this time, no rush and perfect weather...

Using the slope to hide the fishermans truck

This was taken at arms length over the top of a high hedge - no gaps!

This is an old stone bridge that runs alongside the aqueduct - with the Edinburg to Jedburgh roadway behind

Finally a close up of the detail on the old bridge - much older than the aqueduct which is unadorned pure function

A very nice set, Rab. The old bridge detail is particularly interesting.

The first shot, showing the pick up o the grass, is great for giving scale to the Aqua duct.
