  • RSPB Minsmere

I was up in Southwold for a couple of days this week and stopped off at RSPB Minsmere on the way home.

Their emblem, the Avocet, is known to be seen here but were lost among all the other birds, But I finally spotted one

    Just before it flew away

I didn't see any others - until I got home and found avocets in almost all the pictures I took - mostly in the background - like this one

Maybe I should go to Specsavers....

    Very nice, Rab.

I haven't seen a Avocet here for a few years now.

I like the two BHG's in flight.

Your guaranteed to find a good looking bird there!

        Re: RSPB Minsmere

        Thanks both

There were hundred of Black headed gulls - making it very difficult to spot the Avocet
Planning another trip up there so we can spend all day on the mere
