That's a good example of how to get a steady shot without a tripod. Well done Anne and you for capturing the moment.
Regards Ron. Live each day as if it was your last. One day you will be right. Down sized to Nikon s7000 compact camera.

      Hi Ron -

      Thanks.

Anne is a smart girl with the camera, taught by her father some many years ago in the wet room - he had quite a number of images published by the main street press.

          Two very good shots, Barr1e.
          Waddesdon Manor looks very Gothic.
Not meaning to be rude. But it looks like the type of building that would have been in some old black and white horror movie.

            Thanks Garry -

The main property is quite outstanding given the year it was constructed and I agree it would make quite a backdrop for filming something 'Gothic'. I just wish it were mine!

It was not our first visit to the estate and we still get tremendous enjoyment being there. The staff and helpers are warm and helpful. Well worth a visit.

A last link from me regarding more history.

Great pictures Barrie - haven't been there for ages, so must have a revisit. Wasn't the house based on some of the French chateau? I know the external staircase at the front bears a strong resemblance to one I saw in Blois.

                Hi Carol -

The house is very much in the French Chateau style which I rather like - very much to ones taste of course.

The great thing about visiting is the free bus service which runs constantly from the car park and drops passengers off in front of the main house or the *stables (*pleasant food here). If you enjoy walking the estate is large enough to leave you weary if you manage to cover it all.
