HMS Victory, is under various repairs. Her masts will not be put back for another 10 yrs, I have been told.

Something odd here in the circle and these two sides do not line up in the square. There are other old things about this image but may be due to angle taken or wide angle lens distortion. They are the two areas.
I cant understand why such an important piece of our naval history has been repaired so wrong.

Here is an earlier photo showing the repair being carried out.
Also. The colour in this photo is a lot stronger. This strong colour is thought to be incorrect, and the colour in the first photo is the newly painted correct colour.

A sign of the times I'm afraid. We just don't have skilled tradesmen any more. Having said that we do have advanced technology in how to get it wrong.
