Northern Lights

I had a long day walking hither and thither along the canal which has given me some work this evening adjusting what the camera took.

I'm pleased the title has got your attention - well the colours are somewhat similar and it was the last but three or four taken as the day ended (for me)!

Just checked your Exif, Barr1e You did very well for only 1/200th shutter speed.

I usually try to keep the f number as small as possible for in flight shots, which helps to keep the shutter speed up.

Not If I can help it - unless they are flying slowly - still learning though.

Just checked your Exif, Barr1e You did very well for only 1/200th shutter speed.

It was luck that somebody was walking quite close to the bird that caused it to lift its wings - totally unprepared for the pic, but thanks for the reference regarding shutter speed.
