Summer weather in Autumn

We decided to go out to the countryside today as the weather forecast was dry and sunny spells.

We visited two of our favourite butterfly sites and were pleased to see a variety of them. The whites I took suffered from the windy conditions so they hit the cutting room floor .

Brimstone sitting low out of the wind.


Comma eating over ripe fruit which they prefer.


Pheasant scurrying through the long grass.


Ready for sowing (tilling) with a Virgin train making a timely appearance.

That's a good and varied set, Barr1e.

Enjoyed seeing these. I really like the Brimstone. Havent seen one this year.
