Our visit to the zoo was very enjoyable - the weather remained dry but overcast until late. So much to see - another visit is planned to discover the animals we didn't have time during our six + hours spent there.

The Giraffe area has a type of bandstand which is raised so you are close up and personal.

I thought as much, from the angle of your photo.

I have only ever been to Whipsnade zoo once, and that would have been when I was a child.

I tend to visit Marwell Zoo more, as its nearer for me.

Final pic from our visit to Whipsnade just as the sun broke through. This was perhaps the angle needed to achieve the result I thought would work best.

I have many more pictures from our visit, but will be using them in a video of the days spent with our grandchildren.
