In my opinion, Another cracking winner George, I do like your mono style, again very smooth flow from black to white, clean sharp and detailed, and the viewpoint is superb, shows some very clever thinking, the positioning of the wheel and clock ballances the image extremely well, the straight lines in the image draw you in and take you round the image. something for people like me to aspire to.

      Hi Tinka,

A monochrome photo has the disadvantage not to have color, which is also connected to life and to memories (e.g sunsets).
A colorful shot has the disadvantage not to have the contrast a monochrome does.
So, a monochrome and a color photo have each one main disadvantage.

So I tend to turn color photos to monochrome only when the color loss has the minimum impact on the photo and which can be balanced by the monochrome's contrast.

Indeed this photo didn't loose much from color and whatever lost from color gained it in contrast

There is the another half missing from the photo which is the right part. Next time I will get down there I will make 2-3 sequential shots and make this a nice monochrome panorama.

Thanks for your nice comments of liking the photo.

You must have the only camera in the world with a 'Metallic' mode . I love the effect. The whole thing is made up of lots of segments i.e. a small portion of the patterned floor, escalators, 3d design on the wall behind the wheel...nothing complete yet lots to look at. Everything in focus apart from the 2 figures at bottom centre.

          Metallic Mode? I liked that.
The 2 figures at the bottom were 2 people walking fast to run to get tickets and go at least one more level down to get the train. This shot was handheld at 1/8 sec and at ISO 200, so movement blurriness was unavoidable, but personally I wish all people in the station to have been moved faster and all figures to have been blurred. Not at all hard for me to stop by one day and make some more with lots of moving people!

I do find this very satisfying, the detail and human interest is very good. Something I would hang on the wall for sure.

A good and true description though, George. I'd also noticed and especially liked the 'metallic' feel to the photo. It suggests and conveys a very 'modern' style of architecture and decor ........ like brushed stainless steel, mdern and stylish design and textures.

In short - it looks very good and 'Futuristic'.

Maybe I should put up also the "non-metallic" version just for curiosity in terms of modern style and decor.

If it is to hang it on your wall maybe I should send you the full size manipulated shot

Here is the colorful shot for seeing the decor in actual color:
