  • Kingfisher - so close to me

I make no apology regarding these two pictures. I walked along the canal into town on an errand for Anne and I noted a blue flash near a bridge/walkway into the town centre. Amazed to find the kingfisher landed on a post and allowed me to use a small camera I use as a back up. It came in useful as I left big bertha at home.
Both pix are almost full size as I wanted to show how close to activity the bird had flown.

The second image is when he was disturbed by another using the walkway.

A pretty little bird, that is always a pleasure to see. You did well to have seen it flying, and the photos are very good.
