Today was perfect for walking along the canal - free of traffic apart from the odd walker or cyclists. Between the sun and clouds and a light breeze made walking at my age delightful. In parts of the canal where there had been little movement of narrow boats you could see the bottom with the weed etc growing like soldiers in line standing tall about a metre high.
Swans, herons, seagulls, red kite and kingfishers were about along with the general contingent of birds.
Kingfisher (female) almost hidden in the hedgerow.
