    Hi George,
Another great image and I like the result of your mono treatment, teriffic graduation from white to black across the whole image, If the trains had been steam it would be an ageless image, I keep looking at the image and and each time I look the mood suggested changes from romantic to a somber mood and back again. love it.
Just one small point that I have noticed is the white shoe of the man far left does tend to attract my attention, a little toneing down perhaps?

      Tinka,

Thanks for commenting and liking the photo.
Indeed that is the shoe, but of a woman (not visible in the monotone version of the photo) standing next to the security guy. I left it like this in the first place to break the monotony of dark on that side and to match the white of the woman's bag on the right side of the frame.

But now that you mentioned it and I'm looking again at the photo, indeed doesn't look nice as it looks an "out of the blue", foreign body in the photo.

I will take it off completely.
      Good detail remark

Symmetrics spot on and wonderful colour tone throughout.
(the shoe didn't bother me at all ... )

This is a very nice shot, George. Good composition and I especially like the processing too .. nice subtle colour tones.

Thank you all for your nice comments.
I did remove the shoe as Tinka suggested.
This version here now is the replacement of the older one.

For some the white shoe might distract, for some it might not.
If it is not there at all, it will not distract to anybody though

I wondered why I couldn't see it George

Actually, I looked through your gallery last week when we were discussing aged look photos. This was one of the few that I considered appropriate for toning in this fashion. Even though the trains are not especially old looking. It was more the old traditional feel of the station I suppose.

I actually responded at the time, but before I posted it I got waylaid with something else, and the post got deleted later by accident

                    Stephen,

I cannot find these old steam trains anymore. I wish I could. They are out of use for some decades. They exist only as antiques but they are not on rails for use anymore.
This is the metro station down in Piraeus (harbor of Athens). Those are fairly new trains. Though the station has been kept as it was when it was built (of course refurbished at some point).

If you were watching the Arsenal - Tottenham match (if I'm not mistaken) 2 days ago then you are excused for missing posting it
