We have many geese on the canal, mostly Canadian.
We have had two pairs similar to those shown below and either a fox or some other predator took a female whilst nesting last year. The male obviously left leaving the two as seen. When the four were in residence they ruled a section of the canal path between two bridges. These two have settled a little since the loss of friends, but have chased me and others often. When in an aggressive mood they look to one another for approval.
