I have wanted to reshoot Eloise in the 60s look for a while. I also knew I wanted to use a mini this time (was a scooter last time) So I found someone with a mini and sorted out times and dates. One of the drawbacks for me over here was trying to find something that looked 60s for the backdrop to the mini. In the end I thought these garage doors looked like they may suit the style. It sort of said London estate lockups ?? Not sure others will agree
Well Peter, this type of photography is not really my style, but as no-one has put a comment on I thought I would give you my opinion.
Overall I like them all. I like her outfit and the mini and I think the garage doors look OK.
Not keen on the second one, because I think her arm pose looks just that - a pose and not very natural. In fact I am not keen on any with her arm up - holding her cap, over her head. Just my opinion you know.
I love the one through the wing mirror. Gorgeous smile.
The photography is good and crisp. I normally don't like black and white but for some reason I really like these.
Eloise is a great kid but you will see in any set of photos I shoot with her that she is way over the top with her arm movements. I do have a job at times trying to slow her down. having said that I was happy for her to play with her cap this time, ok not everyones cup of tea I know The mirror one, was one that I had in my mind from the off set and it does seem to have gone down well Also I have a thing for black and white at the moment and most often or not I post two photos one in colour and one in black and white. I just felt I wanted this whole set in black and white as I felt the setting and props ie car and outfit would work well in black and whiite plus it really did say 60s to me.
I know a lot of people would say the 60s was about colour ie flower power and way out fashion colours so maybe next time I will go that way Now theres an idea for another shoot
The Mini is a great prop, the model is lovely and her outfit screams "60's." The garage doors are a good choice of background - they don't particularly say "60's" but then they don't say they are not. No3 is my favourite.

A photograph is more than a record of what you see - it's a window to your soul
I did find it hard to find something that said 60s as a back drop for the mini. Like you say it does not say 60s but then again does not say it's not so the best I could get really.
