Too far away from me

Anne and I set off for a walk on the day of our anniversary to a special hotel to take mid morning coffee - well worth the effort.

We set off once more to extend our walk in the direction of Antibes. We stopped and asked three gendarmes where we could pick up the coastal walk once more and were given directions, although Anne felt they were not correct I said we should follow the route given. Wrong - after marching in hot conditions and several kilometres later I spotted a bus at rest some distance away. Our luck held and we travelled the last couple of miles in an air conditioned charabanc (coach/bus).

However, not all was lost as we managed to take a number of images and this one shows the sails of Les Voiles d'Antibes, held each year around the first week of June, which marks the opening of the Mediterranean circuit for Tradition Yachts and Metric Classes and the first stage of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge in the distance, with somebody else doing the same.

Thanks for commenting.

I agree, without him it would be one for the bin.

I took it as I felt it might be a candidate for a future challenge.
