Blessed with clear skies Was a struggle in Shetland with cloud but it did go very dark.

They are pretty good, what lens did you use? Mine were a bit fuzzy but we had some haze and I only used a home made pinhole taped over an extension tube.

Interestingly the shots from my Leica M8 which has no AA filter and a very weak IR filter over the sensor were much better than from the Sony A7 using the same 'lens'. The Sony showed a distinct second image and I am wondering if this was due to the thick sensor filter glass.

We were covered in cloud so missed this exiting time - it only went slightly dark, so the torch I was carrying along the towpath was redundant.

They are better then mine. I am not going to post mine as my gallery is nearly full, but if you click on Flickr below you will be able to see them.

They are in the Photostream, but if you click on the Albums tab you will see "Solar Eclipse" where you can see the detail. I just used my Fuji HS50 with the 1000mm zoom.

I just used my 600mm mirror lens and a filter made out of Baader solar film. I was going to use my telescope but it seemed like too much of a faff.
