  • Backlit reeds

At RSPB Langford Lowfields in the cold spell these Phragmites reeds stood out backlit by the afternoon sun.

    Lovely effect, David.

Just take it easy. There's always tomorrow. And if tomorrow doesn't come, you won't have wasted any effort on it.

Got to love a good bit of contre-jour lighting.

Very nice David although my vision is a bit haywire (eye drops to dilate the pupils) as I have just returned from a retinopathy exam at the hospital - cool seeing my retina in cross section

PS Doc very pleased with the results

Sounds a lot more detailed than my annual retinopathy sessions!

Am being checked out by two hospitals at the moment and one is kitted out with lots of gear and has two specialists plus nurses and that's where I got the scan done while the other hospital has one guy in one small room with a retina camera (an adapted Canon DSLR as it happens). The duplication is down to a lack of communication within the NHS as I was referred to the first hospital by my opticians while my doctor referred me to the other hospital. Apparently I get to choose which I prefer and no guesses as to which I have gone for!
